Getting on your prospect’s home screen in Blockchain
Now that we’ve covered who to look for in the prospecting stage, let’s discuss how to best get in front of that person.
In the blockchain industry, most emails already get sent to spam, but with the introduction of AI sales tools prospects are sending even more emails down the black hole. Interestingly, prospects don’t want to talk, not just because they’re scared they’ll click a link and lose $, but because they want to build everything in-house. So let’s get scrappy.
The first tactic you can try is reaching out on other channels, Social selling is a great tool, with most prospects being on 1 or more social networks, and the blockchain industry heavily relying on existing social networks for communication (i.e., Crypto Twitter). It takes more than just reaching out to the prospect on X (formerly Twitter), you need to be multi-threading and strategically pinging them across channels.
A few good social networks to reach out to prospects in the blockchain industry include; X, Telegram, LinkedIn, Warpcast, and Signal.
There are multiple ways to leverage social selling in your sales process, one of the most common being using social channels as a step in a sales sequence (i.e., message 6/8 is on Telegram). Although, my most successful strategy in terms of guiding prospects through my funnel has been facilitating the entire sequence in Telegram. With most messages on this platform being 200 characters long, be careful of allowing it to make your messaging lazy. You have to get super custom and almost wordsmith your first message to get the pitch across in a concise manner.
Getting scrappy means finding unique ways to show up on prospect’s home screen, from leveraging different social networks to being a ‘reply guy’. I’ll cover my top 4 strategies to standing out and getting the conversation started in an increasingly ‘busy’ industry in the next one.
